The Minnesota Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association, Inc. (MNHBPA) was formed in 1984 to advocate the interests and needs of owners and trainers participating in Thoroughbred racing in the state of Minnesota. The Minnesota Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association is the sole representative of the Horsemen conducting business at Canterbury Park. The MNHBPA strives to actively promote, in general, the horse racing industry in Minnesota, and specifically the sport of Thoroughbred racing. The MNHBPA is an affiliate of the National HBPA, which consists of thirty-three affiliates throughout North America.
